You’ve likely heard about MAiD, but what is it?

Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) is a process through which a doctor or nurse practitioner assists an individual, at their request, to intentionally end their life. 

On March 17, 2021, the Government of Canada amended laws which now makes MAiD legal, acceptable and available to all Canadians, with some limitations. 

At this education event we will hear from Dr. Eric Wasylenko as he shares his role and thoughts in helping this legislation evolve.  He will also provide insights into the controversial topics to be considered as MAiD has now become part of our Canadian culture.
