Corpath Values

The following core values animate the Corpath experience for all Forum members:

“Christ is at the Table”

Corpath members are followers of Jesus Christ and take seriously their commitment to Christian discipleship.  That is why every Corpath Forum meeting and retreat includes a time of devotional reflection based on Christian scriptures, and prayer for each member and the issues they are facing.  As such, we say that “Christ is at the table” when Corpath Forum members meet.

Confidentiality

Assurance of confidentiality is critical to Corpath Forum health.  Forum members understand that confidentiality must be total and absolute.  That is why Forum members assume everything said at a Forum meeting is confidential, no matter how trivial.  They agree to talk to no one about Forum discussions, including with spouses, outside of the Forum, unless the ‘holder’ of the information gives permission.  Confidentiality is forever, even after a member leaves their Corpath Forum.

Transparency

Forum members agree to share transparently about personal, family and business issues for Forum members to effectively provide feedback, support and prayer for them. Corpath members know that self-disclosure is critical to gaining full value from their Corpath experience.

Participation

Regular participation in Forum meetings and the Forum’s annual retreat is essential for Forum health.  Members who repeatedly miss a Corpath meeting will be held accountable and may be asked to leave the Forum.

Peer Alignment

Corpath Forums function best when there is a high degree of similar business experience and leadership level responsibility among members in the same forum.  Senior forums tend to include established business owners (with business revenues exceeding $2M) or senior executives (CEO, COO, CFO, profit centre leader), including Executive Director of an established non-profit.  Members in Accelerator forums have a shorter leadership record and own businesses more recently established (with minimum revenues of $250,000.)  Members in individual forums, whether  (Senior or Accelerator) should not own businesses in a similar competitive sector.

Ministry Contribution

Each Corpath member agrees to provide a monthly ministry contribution (via their credit card) to support the ongoing work of Corpath and expand its reach.

Diversity

Corpath is a non-denominational, Christian organization.  As such, members do not sign any statement of faith, but simply indicate their faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.  Members may represent a variety of Christian faith traditions and are encouraged to participate in and support a local Christian community.

Corpath members in each Forum represent a variety of businesses. Corpath Forums will often include a member who represents the non-profit sector.

If Forum members agree, membership in the Forum may include men and women.
